2004 sx venom 600 track what works the best for Multiple trail conditions?

I live in Maine and I need a track that can handle the drifts and hard pack. I also whant to run studs ? We have the mostly really loose snow or really sticky snow and we just got 3 feet of powder!! I don't care if I have loose top end speed.
 
Sounds like a 1,25 inch ripsaw will fit your riding style. If you buy one, be sure you buy the correct length, width and pitch.
 
Are you considering new tracks? If so a 1.6 Cobra is a good fit for a Maine winter. A 1.6 Ice Cobra if you must have studs. There are many members on here w/ Cobras who do not miss there studs at all w/ this track.

Well the thing is if I don't run studs , then the trails get hard I will have cooling problems I think ice scratchers would help ? I have the rear heat exchanger, but it still makes me nervous. Also going with opta cool head gasket when I rebuild the engine.
 
I ran all weekend with a non studded track on my srx, trails were very hard/icy not much snow being kicked up to cool it, didn't have any problems with it over heating.
 
Well I never have had the temp light come on ,but I don't like to push my luck lol . I hear that sx vipers and venoms run hot anyway, so I m considering the optacool head gasket what do you think ? Yes or no ? I think I m going with a cobra 1.635 track because every one loves it so much.
 
Can someone show me a optacool head gasket next to a stock one .?? I think I can modify the stock one to flow better I usual match all my gaskets to the transfer ports on all my sleds ,y can't I do it on the water jacket s in my head ? Right?
 
I ran the 1.22" ice ripper on my srx. It worked great and went thru deep powder. Won't a 1.6 track rub or do the vipers have more clearance? That 1.22 rubbed my protectors and I had to remove the front cooler protector.
