Did alot of testing in the last 2 weeks.

Stator is good
Flywheel is good
Reg is good

14.2 when headlights are unplugged. Plug in headlights and drops to 13.3

Everything is unplugged except coils and cdi

Wire under engine is pulled out and see no rub through anywhere on harness.

Unplugged each coil separately and volts did not come up so dont think coils are draining that much current.

Only thing i have left is ecu and whole wiring harness

Can a cdi pull that much current?

Well there is also the tach and speedo lights and tail light among others. Sounds like the battery is pooched as you have load tested and it dropped instantly, but did the battery voltage pop back up to 14.2 when not plugged in, if not then the battery is probably done. Did you fully charge the battery, let it sit for 24 hours, then test to see if it is sill above 14? Keep in mind lights do pull more current than people realize, a car battery doesn't last long if the head lights are left on and they are 12volt.....

Everything is disconnected except.
smother coils
ignition coils
Cdi box
Key switch for it to run.

With only that stuff plugged in it runs 14.2

Run a wire from recifier to headlight and drops to 13.3 to 13.5 instantly

Did same to test sled and it holds 14.1 no matter what you do.

We tore the whole harness apart. Nothing wrong with it. Coils seem ok. Looking on how to test them now. As we were testing we lost the lights. The wire from cdi to headlight stays positive . it needs to turn to ground for them to run. We took the brown and white wire out at relay and put it to ground. Now lights are back on and still the volts are down.
