Received my first quote from a dealer on a straight cash deal on a 2006 Apex RTX w/o reverse $8999. That is no yamaha accessory cash.

I'm going to check my local dealers soon on the 06' Attak and 06' Rage, If I can get into an Attak for under 9000 or a rage under 8000 I'll be on a 4 stroke next year.

Does anyone care to spill the beans on what kind of markup the dealers are working with?

What's the invoice on these things?

High end sleds the Canadian dealers might see 12% margin at full MSRP. They don,t make much.

Keep checking around. I just found a local dealer that will sell me a Apex Mt (list 10,600) for 9000.00 cash deal. No trade, no yama bucks. ===SRXSRULE===

I have a dealer in the area that is very aggressive....anyone close to Southern MN and Northern Iowa should call Brian at Estherville Yamaha 712-362-2718

RTX $8795

No kidden, I just got off the phone with them and need to call back and talk to brian and see what he can do for me. I think they may even want my Mt Max. ===SRXSRULE===

I just noticed that in the 360 degree virtual reality of the APEX GT i couldn't find the dial adjust for the monoshock. Must not have the dial adjust with the ohlins shock...(the ohlins has its own adjustment though)

the ohlins Mono Shock is adjusted electrically. You push the mode button on the dash, then use the hand warmer hot/cold to make it soft/firm. ===SRXSRULE===

From what I gathered the compression dampening is electronically adjustable from the hamdwarmer by toggling the mode button on the speedometer, but there should be rebound dampening adjuster on the shock body.

I worked for a dealer for a few months and to tell you the truth, dealers work on a volume basis. We were giving the stuff away! I worked there in 2002 and we were selling the 01's and other leftover models for 200-500 under dealer invoice...just to get rid of them. I sold 18 sleds while I was there and made a whopping 1500 bucks...what da??? Yeh, I know...that's why I left. Really guys...the big dealers just want to get rid of them...on avg. we made 75-150 dollars per sled....SERIOUSLY! If you can buy a new sled for 1000-1200 under MSRP your getting a good deal, cus that is rock bottom. Less then that they are losing money. The truth is they make their money in the "set-up" charge, usually 100-400 bucks, but that goes in the sales guys pocket. So if you want to do right, haggle em down to rock bottom, let them have a a couple hundo in set up and both of you are happy. Just so you know....IF YOU DO THE POWER SURGE....USE THE 800.00 YAMAHA BUCKS TOWARDS THE PURCHASE. Buy your equipment at the Pre season snow shows, you'll save a ton. Hope this helps...

P.S. the dealer I worked at is one of the largest in the country and have been in business for 35 plus years...so, no, they weren't going out of business when selling the stuff so cheap...lol

LOL, go to Kieffers Yamaha on Rawson in Franklin, WI if you want a good deal. They will sell you the sled for 25% over msrp and give you a boot up the ace. They are the worst dealer ever.
