01 SRX should I update the suspension? Or newer sled?

Hello, I have a 01 SRX with 1600 miles on it. Bought it 10 years ago. Throwing around the idea of a M-10 air skid and bringing up the front end. (Been riding a Viper since 04. Mileage is getting up there on the Viper) Or do I just buy something newer? Vector, Nytro. Would you put say $2000 into a sled this old?

I'd say leave the srx stock and get something newer. You can pick up a good used vector or nytro these days for $2500 on up.
 
I ride the Mincocqua area. I know the stock suspension can't handle bad trails. My Viper has been revalved and set up for me and it kicks my butt when it gets bad up there. I love two strokes and I guess I am dragging my feet upgrading my sleds.
 
Thats a low mileage SRX, those are getting hard to find these days, it'll be worth a lot more some day if it was left stock.
