87 Phazer carb questions

I recently picked up an 87 Phazer Deluxe. I'm trying to get the carbs cleaned out but I am completely unfamiliar with this carb setup. The factory carbs are Mikuni butterfly carb?? I managed to get the carbs out without removing the airbox, but have serious doubt I'll ever get them back in until I figure out how that comes out.
I'm looking for the pilot jet so I can clean it... Is it under one of the rubber plugs? How do I remove them without damaging them? Any tips on this setup would be greatly appreciated. I would be tempted replace them with round slide carbs if I knew how it could be done.

Yes there is a jet under the rubber plugs. I would just order new plugs if the ones in the carbs are dried out. I went through the same issue this fall. Carb set was all new to me. Make sure the plugs go back in the right spots and are not dried out.
