2001 MM 700 - Water temperature indicator not flashing

Bought a new CDI box because it didnt flash the water temp indicator.

Now the temp indicator lights up but doesnt flash in patterns. It just stays on.

Make sure your temp sensor is plugged in.

I have had those temp sensors go bad a couple times.

If the temp sensor wasnt working it would flash in a certain pattern -> #2 https://totallyamaha.com/snowmobiles/aaTECH/codes/FaultLocationCodes.htm
But yes its plugged in and i have measured it, seems ok.

But it doesnt flash at all, in any pattern. Is it because the new CDI box that i bought isnt a Yamaha genuine part? It doenst have the fault location codes thingy..?

I would not be surprised if the CDI box is not right. How does it run?
