VMAX 700 XT idle issue

Hi,

I'm having an issue with my sled, usually when RPM is dropping to idle. For some seconds, it fails to ramp up the RPM again when the gas is pressed. I got a short video showing what's going on:

Ignore the water temp light, the RPM and fuel meter...sensors not really working on this sled.

Any suggestions? Also, the engine does seem to be running a little rough.I thought about getting the carburetor cleaned but not sure if that's going to solve the problem.

That sounds like your TORS switch is kicking in to me.

Your pilot jets are mostly plugged. When your RPMs are coming down and the needle jets drop off, the pilots take over the 0-1/4 throttle fuel delivery.
Have the shop doing the cleaning replace your plug caps too.

Run Stabil Marine at 1 ounce/5 gallons ALL the time to keep the fuel system clean.

in that case, maybe the TORS switch is faulty or is it idling to high?

the tors is tripping,Make sure your throttle cable is adjusted properly with the correct amount of slack. worst comes to worse you can buy pass the system by disconnecting the wires that go to the carb rack and plugging the ones on the harness side into each other.
