XT 600 Head gasket

Has anyone here ever heard about using a thinner head gasket on the 96 Yamaha XT 600 motor's ? I recall hearing they ran the thinner gasket and that woke these motor's up. Anyone else ever here of this? Thanks

Yes, get a head gasket for the 94-95 600. I also ran 150 main jets and dropped needles one half notch.
