Lil help please

Ok was just hanging out with my sled the other day just puttering around and wiping dirt and what not. On the plus side found the original Yamaha tool kit in the engine bay then I wiped off a bunch of junk off the engine by where the engine number was and realized there is a hole there. Bout the size of a quarter not sure where it came from but just wondering am I missing something like a plug or something for it? Never seen it before but obviously it's been there. Let me see if I can post the pic for you guys.

Suppose to be there uncovered.
I think it may be a sight hole for the belt.

What helter it seems to he. Closer to the water pump but there might be a belt of some sort there.

Put your finger in the hole, you will find a belt.

yup normal on the twins. that is where you keep an eye on the water pump belt.
