Power valve bevel face up or down when installing ?

Sorry searched the forum but got no answer. I'm sure it's been asked before. Helping my brother on his 03 viper and the bevel was facing up, don't think that's correct. Any help would be greatly appreciated
 
Lol, really. i guess I didn't word it correctly, was searching under power valves and didnt mention installation duh. Thanks
