If we are talking about the 97 Vmax700(a redhead) that is in your profile, take your helix wrap to 70. Your at only 81-8200 Rs anyway.

Yes ideally your looking for 8300 to 8500 rpm

Not that this is the proper way to get to peak RPMs, but you will probably have to go to 80 to get close to 8500.

Im running power inc center dumps. I also have a 46/41 helix I can try. Not much wiggle room on rpms. They fall off hard after 82

I think that 46/41 will get you a lot closer

It’s supposed to be a 47 but the angle is a little shallow. I’ll try that at 60. Don’t really wanna mess with rpms too much

Thanks for the help, it’s about 1/8 to a 1/4 shallow. Just was always told it should reach the very top. Is it different with Yamahas?

Have you SHARPIEd your clutch and went for a ride? If not , do so and snap a picture of where the Sharpie has worn off.

It’s not too bad but it still seems like I should be getting a lil more. Correct me if I’m wrong

Hahaha probably, just wasn’t sure if my belt should be squeezing all the way to the top or not.

Now if your looking for better of the line performance, get that belt to ride higher in the secondary. It sounds like you are starting off ........ well in 2nd gear. This is based on your comments in post #10. Might even be 3rd gear if it is in fact at -1/4.

My secondary is right where is should be, I just wasn’t sure if my belt should ride higher in my primary at wot. Try and squeeze a little more out of it. If it looks right than it’s right I just didn’t know.
