SRX stumbles at 7000 rpm


What is this black stuff that is over the magnets?
Is this a problem, and should it be removed?
Almost looks like the magnets liquified, and kinda ran over the others in that spot.

OK, things I have replaced.
Head gaskets
Stator
Flywheel
Servo Works

Was using a W/W/W spring with Mr. Vipers SRX setup, only turned about 8100 RPM
Put in the next stiffer spring(stock)Y/W/Y, and didn't gain any RPM.

So, last night checked power valve adjustment with Mr Vipers help, and found they were all way loose, especially mag side.
Mag side had at least double the gap it should have, and the other two weren't far behind.
Hoping this was the problem all along, because new stator and flywheel had no effect.
