how much does ceramic coating cost on a single pipe? where's a good place to get it done in wisconsin? and will it change anything in the engine's performance? thanks.
 
yeah because i like my single on my SX 600 because i really like it's sound and i've ridden other sleds with triples and for some reason I didn't care for them. don't even ask me why.
 
It will cost you about $75 to get one pipe done. I just priced out getting my quad bender pipes done with Jet-Hot. They are supposedly really good, look them up on the web, you can request a quote and get info sent to you right from their website.
 
It's about 50.00 bucks per pipe and another 10-15 per flange. If you want to to the Can/silencer about 30 or so. I did a lot of shopping around for this and I found that Jet Hot Coatings was the best deal. With their awesome looking Sterling product it's got a great shine. They also provide a 3 year warranty and life time warranty against rust. Jet-hot.com..hope that helps.
 
sounds decent. been wondering about this myself. anyone know if it would offer any reason other than looks and protection to get it done on the wife-to-be's 00 600 sxr?? pipe is looking dingy, trying to decide if I should coat it or paint it.....
 
As far as I understand, ceramic coatings have some performance enhancments...some HP (2-4 at most), but the primary objective with the coating is to reduce underhood temps (claimed 40-65%) and it also makes the pipes heat up faster and maintain optimal running temps. They will definately protect against rust (25 times longer wear life then paint...as long as they are coated properly). I think they look sweet...no more sanding and painting every year, if you want them to look nice. Just to add, Jet-Hot does this amazing Chemical and Alum. Oxide removal of old paint and rust, very thorough. they will also make repairs to the pipes, if needed, for cheap.
 
I had my single done by swan coating, I think it was about $85.00 plus shipping.
Header for muffler might be 20 and 40. check the web thier are about a dozen places
that will do it.

my pipes are ceramic coated and i love it. Probably wont pipe my next sled though (not sure what i'm going to get) but the noise issues are starting to become too crazy, dont want trails closed
