As far as I understand, ceramic coatings have some performance enhancments...some HP (2-4 at most), but the primary objective with the coating is to reduce underhood temps (claimed 40-65%) and it also makes the pipes heat up faster and maintain optimal running temps. They will definately protect against rust (25 times longer wear life then paint...as long as they are coated properly). I think they look sweet...no more sanding and painting every year, if you want them to look nice. Just to add, Jet-Hot does this amazing Chemical and Alum. Oxide removal of old paint and rust, very thorough. they will also make repairs to the pipes, if needed, for cheap.
