I have a 1974 GPX 338. Motor is stock with original carbs, and oil injection working. Are the NGK B9ES plugs ok to use or is there something else I should be using? I'm also thinking about going to Mikuni slides and getting rid of oil injection. Stock carbs have been rebuilt, but can't get sled to run the same twice. Any Ideas on carb size to go with?

b9es is fine. just means no resistor so it will brodcast an interferance signal that can make the tv or radio have static when using rabbit ears when you pass by.
carb wise, need to stay roughly the same size engine wise for best results. i know the et340's used a butterfly mikuni and the later 388 safari sleds used a round silde mikuni for a starting point.

Check the thread length in the head. Some machines of this era ran B9HS which has a shorter thread length. The B9ES will work but they are long enough that if the shorter plug is called for they will burn a hole through your piston.
