1987 exciter L/c runs great but wont go over 45 mph

Got an old exciter that has always ran like a BOH but suddenly last year it wouldn't go over 45 mph. It would just bogg excessively. But from 0 to 45 all seems well. Cleaned carbs and had to replace some leaking fuel lines under the carbs, and it continues to bogg at higher speeds ?????

pull apart the primary clutch. odds are it needs cleaning as it sounds like it is binding.

Yep, go thru the clutches.. check center bushings on both primary and secondary.
