Just pulled the carbs on my Vmax 500, it was only running on one cylinder.
When I opened the top cap I found that the bolt which fasters the slide assembly to the throttle shaft had backed itself out and was loose.
Can I apply blue loctite in this area when I reassemble? There is no lock washer on the bolt.
Thanks,
Hank

Yeah, it shouldn't hurt anything. Just a drop

Small world, just had it happen to me (well, probably February 2018 ride in Michigan U.P.). Just last week i got it started with new Oil Pump and still didn't run good. Broke down carbs and the carb with no lock washer was completely out and laying in the cavity. I pulled both screws out and blue locktited them. Purs like kitten now. Just no snow in Lower Michigan for quick test
