Okay if anyone of you guys' serviced the fuel systems on the 600-700 triples you might have noticed the larger size fuel hoses Yamaha used! Now it's not 1/4 as everyone tries to sell me, it's the next size up! The fittings are larger on all the fuel system. I believe it's 5/16, the large oem fuel filter will not accept 1/4 hose! Is this larger size important when replacing the filter and lines? Yamaha must have had a reason for this?
 
I have never seen it that large at least between the fuel pump and the carbs. It’s metric and falls between 3/16 and 1/4”
 
The part number tells the dimension. 91A30-07100 is 6.5mm id and 11mm od 100cm long. 91A20-05080 is 5mm id 9mm od 80cm long. Some other hoses sub up to the new tygon. Get OEM parts from dealer for best results.
