I Love My Aaen's!

I put 200-300 miles a day on in Canada with the Aaen's and had absolutely no problem. It ran perfect. I think they run better than my CPR's did. They feel like they have more low end. I ran some big iron and had an ear to ear grin at the big end. Hauck steered me right with there set up. I am a happy camper!
 
I was just a impressive out of the hole as it was on top. For $900.00 you can't go wrong. That machine was pinned all day long without so much a hickup. I just thought I would comment if anyone was on the fence about pipes, and also what kind. Just my 2 cents.
 
About 10 mpg. Not very good but we were running some big speed also. Carbs unplugged. Very sweet sound. Something I can put 300 miles on and not have a hearing problem.
 
Cool man, I just put the Benders on my 02' Viper and I love them. Have you ever run against another piped Viper, just wondering how it may compare. I haven't had the chance yet. Did you do the head mod? Any clutching?
 
I have run a CPR piped viper. It was not realy a race because we didn't have that great of conditions. 3 out of 4 passes I had 2 machines or so. When we got to the end of the field he said I was about 3 machines ahead. Yes I did the head mod and some simple clutch work. In 02 I raced some bender vipers with my old viper with CPR pipes and something was wrong with there machines because for whatever reason on the pond stock ones were running within 3 machines on top. Also these guys weighed 275-300 ponds all day.
 
MUFDVR: I agree, the Aaens are sweet. My sled has stock clutching. Today i raced my friends Warrior and i won every time. We raced over a lake two times and both times i waited to pull the throttle until he started to race. He didn´t have a chance. My speedometer indicated 178 km/h (110 mp/h). I was a little dissapointed about that, i thought it would past 120 mp/h.
But i´m very satisfied with my pipes.
 
I raced a few sleds, my buddy has a 2002 zr800 with the keyway mod and I spanked him so bad out of the hole it wasn't even funny. I ran him a dozen times because I figured he had a bad start, or something was wrong. Then we did a roll on at speed and I just pulled and pulled and pulled. By the way his sled was beating a lot of stuff earlier in the day. Mxz 800's and a few polaris 700-800's. My speedo read's about 128 on a long long run. We all know the speedo's are off but thats what it was reading. That was also on the trail. The are some monster straights with long visibility. The sled just fly's. I was over reving. I should have been 88-9000. I was getting 9200-9400. It was 10 degree's. I am running 2 147.5's and a 150. I went up one size on the pilots, which made a big botton end improvement. I only made one alteration from Haucks kit. :rockon: :rockon:

It could have been the snow conditions but you can play with the secondary spring setting, If its wound to tight it will hurt your topend speed.

Okey. The snow conditions could have been better, that´s for sure. Maybe i will take a look at the spring. It would have been nice to get past 200 km/h, but i don´t wont to loose the wonderful acceleration the sled has.

Small changes to the secondary will help when snow conditions change. Remember He who is tuned for the days snow conditions wins!

Last saturday RedDog had Flounders Aaen piped MtnViper out for some field racing against the Petoskey boys, 05 RX-1, 800 REV's, 800 Poo's, some Cats & the big shoe RMK mod got their lunch ate by the T/Y boys ;)!

You are so right about that!

It´s always nice to hear about Yamaha victories! ;)!

The guys who underestimate Yamaha is the guys that never raced one.
