I posted recently that my tachometer and speedometer weren't working. Also the odometer isn't working . actually every now and then they do work. Any ideas on what's going on? It's a 2004 sx viper ER. it has a battery and starts fine with the electric start or pull start. It runs great just isn't showing the info on the dash and I would like it resolved

Loose, broken, or chaffed wire(s) would be my guess...

May want to play close attention to under the handlebar pad, and above the key switch area.

So I pulled the handle bar padding off and inspected the wires there and so far nothing looks chafed but after I made sure all connectors were plugged in and the inspection the tach and Speedo started working again so I am going to carefully go thru every wire in that cluster and check them all! Thanks a lot murder yamaha I think you put me in the right direction!
