Ok ty. Lol. I wonder what they actually do. The 4 strokes don't have them.
It’s actually something about turbulence from the wind when the clutch turns at high speed.

Had them on a phazer clutch , we removed them in favour of better cooling.

Just to smooth the surface of the clutch since its ribbed they tested it and found it produced drag. So they engineered them plates to reduce drag and used them on the two strokes on the four strokes they didnt use them because it makes more torque and can over power the little drag it had. I removed mine as well.

I also always took them off.
My uncle that got me into riding simply called them Frisbees, meant to be tossed. lol
