The jack a$$ cop made me start my sled after removing my covers so he could confirm that I have working headlights.
Funny thing is another cop was out by Blue lake and he just stopped, looked at our registration stickers and waved us on our way.
Glad I took mine off on saturday, we were on are way from Frederick to Elba, when we stopped in the Hideway bar and I had one drink while we sat there for awhile, so I decided it would be the smart thing to take them off. Glad I did.

Can't blame the cops, they are just doing their job. If you were obeying the law, you wouldn't even have had an issue, right?

I guess I'm confused why anyone would even want their headlight covered by anything other than a clear lens? I wonder the same thing about cars with covers on their headlights. What good is the headlight if you are going to cover up and hinder the light beam? Remember it's not just there so YOU can see, it's there so WE can see you coming.... leave em off would be my .02 I guess.

personally i think during the day it is easier to see a sled with a blue or red headlight cover than with just the white beam because it contrasts more with the surroundings (snow)

Yea...he was only doing his job but to pretend he couldn't tell if my headlight was working makes him a JACKA$$.
Anyhow..I removed the covers and will not risk a ticket that cost more that I paid for the covers. (all though the Viper does look cool with them on it)
