SRX and V Max sparkplug coils

This may seem like an odd question but will V Max coils work on an SRX? I have a bad secondary winding on one sparkplug coil on my '98 SRX and a friend locally has some V Max ones off a '99 XT and before I go to the bother to go and get these coils I want to know if they'll interchange.I know the part numbers aren't identical but as far as the windings etc will they work?

I should have updated this thread earlier.I picked up a couple coils from a local guy that parts out sleds and saw first hand the difference in the two.The Viper/SRX coils are physically larger than the V Max ones plus there is a different number molded into the body of them.I should have checked the coil resistances in them to see what the measurements are bu tnever had my ohm metre with me.
