Put 190 miles on the sled this weekend, ride was AWESOME! I still need some help though- It's running really rich at the low end. Mixture seems to become balanced at about 5500rpm and then it's a rocket, but the low rpm is burning too much fuel. My buddy thinks I need to move jett needle to different groove.
Factory main jets for this machine are 156 and I ran 150's in it all weekend but didnt move the jet needle. Thoughts?

These sleds are pigs on gas. Nature of the beast. Back in the day we used to remove 1 layer from head gasket, move needles one spot leaner and carbon fiber reeds. Woke up sled and slightly improved gas mileage. BUT make sure you are running good premium fuel when you lean these out. Game of give and take. Best I ever got was 8-10 MPG trail riding. Enjoy your sled, it is what it is as far as MPG.
