I was out today with my friends skimming some water, they were able to go the whole lenght of the strip which is about 200 feet long, i have trouble crossing from one side of it to the other which is no more than 20 feet long. I get a good run for it and soon as i hit the water the skis bounce up and down like a seal then towards the end my belt slips and makes a loud screaming noise and i have no power left to get across. Never sunk yet but there are mxz 380s better on water than my 600 mountain max.
PS i have it clutched, weight transfer rods, track cut down to 1.5 inch and have it all sealed up around the spots where water typically gets in other than the vents on the hood itself. Can someone please help me figure out why its so bad on water?
