Installing an electric visor shield plug outlet

I just got this sled, it’s my first Yamaha snowmobile! I’d like to install an 12V outlet to plug in my heated helmet visor, I was wondering what this connection was for and if it could be used… does anybody know what this plug is for? Any help is appreciated…

You can check for 12v power there but would tap into the power that feeds your tail light, then it will be regulated. Use a tester, its pretty simple.

If onboard battery (for electric starter), simply connect the 12 volt plug in thin wire to the battery's "+" and "-" posts. This works for my sled...
