Oil line fitting popped off?

Anyone ever see an oil line fitting pop out of pump? Chasing an oil leak in belly pan of my 01 srx and found one of oil lines from fuel pump came off oil pump and has the fitting still in the hose. Doesn't look broke, looks like it popped out. What's the fix here?

The fitting goes back in pump with a bit of resistance, so they must just be pressed in place? I'm wondering if I can reinstall it with a bit of loctite bearing retainer or maybe epoxy like jb weld or something?

If I understand your post properly you are talking about the metal fitting that is pressed into the pump housing the hose attaches to. The engine crankcase also has similar fittings.
If you clean the fitting and hole in oil pump very well with solvent then you can coat the fittings surface with green loctite bearing/sleeve retainer and tap it back into position. Be careful not to get the loctite in the pump or fitting passages.

Yes it is the little brass fitting hose attaches to. Thats the answer I was hoping to hear. So loctite green would be best product for this. I had also thought about using Seal All which is a gas/oil safe adhesive/sealant?

Not sure why it popped out other than oil lines shrinking and hardening over time.

I picked up some Permatex green retaining compound and new oil lines. I'll get it together tomorrow and let everyone know how it goes.

I have an extra oil pump that the same fitting is out of. So, it must be a thing.

Maybe. Mine is all repaired now. I cleaned out the hole in pump with brake clean and a q-tip. I scratched up surface of fitting a bit, put green retaining compound and put back together. I used pliers to push fitting in snuggly and let it set up. I then put a bit of Seal All around base of fitting to pump and installed new lines. Should be good to go.
