So I’m working on rebuilding a ‘03 Viper. Engine was back together & in sled. Having other issues along with:
Came out the other morning to keep digging into the other issues and found fuel all over the floor, belly pan and leaking out of exhaust. Pulled carbs figuring float sticking is cause. Determined both 1&2 cylinders (pto & center) slap full of gas. Pulled reed cages out and there was fuel right up to the bottom of the reed housings!!
I have the vast majority of the gas outnof those 2 cylinders. (#3 is dry as far as I can tell.
My question: how much gas/oil mix can be in the bottom of the casing in those cylinders before you should NOT try to start it at all??
I’m assuming if there should be NONE I am going to need to pull the engine back out and try to get ALL of it out.
TIA for any suggestions / advice
