Hello.

I have a ‘00 MM700 that started leaking from the water pump weep hole so I took it apart thinking something must’ve happened with the rubber washer that most often causes the leak.

Nothing looked weird, checked for play on impeller axle but nothing of concern, so I went about ordering a aftermarket rebuild kit and called my local Yammy dealer to order the rubber washer seal. ( as I’ve yet to find a kit that includes the rubber washer)
To my surprise the rubber washer seal that sits between the impeller bolt and impeller is discontinued, and the replacement # is also discontinued.

since there are a lot of sleds out there I can’t be the only one that now have a sled I can’t rebuild properly.

Went to my local specialist that deals with all sorts of stuff utilizing special seals and whatnot and they have never seen anything like this.

I then went to a hydraulic specialist and we compiled a sort of “replacement” washer that I’m going to install in the sled to see if it will work as the original.

Are there any 3rd party rubber washers to buy?

I’d also like to add that I’m from sweden, so ordering from the US can be a bit problematic (not impossible, but some dealers won’t ship outside us)

Sorry for long post but I thought i
would raise the question here, well met!

There's one on ebay

I had some time last night so I went for a 15km test ride with rebuilt water pump and my homemade rubber washer. No leaks, but cannot tell the longevity yet, but seems to be working.

Including a picture of my home-made washer seal if anyone else would like to try this solution.
Total cost 1,50$
