My vk is missing on the PTO side when it idles seem to go away when on the throttle sprayed the seals the carb boot and no difference I'm thinking can it leak around the oil pump it just doesn't run right or even sound right carb is clean new lines compression is fine fuel pump is fine CDI is up to spec coil is up to spec this one has me stumped

how many km on it? uncle that had a mid 90's one that it would not sit and idle at his trap sites unless choke was on on it back in 2013. it had over 30000 km on it though and it was in need of a freshen up. was still running last i knew of it without rebuild. have you tried ohming the plug wire caps themselves as they can come out of spec too.

I did everything possible tested every electrical part all within spec has one new jug 2 pistons only has 6000kms I'm getting frustrated with it might fit a 600 triple in there have a couple of them

have you sprayed around the base of the jugs where it meets the block? the 11 in my sig had a bad base gasket on the mag side cylinder from factory and would kind of do what you are describing. got away with replacing that plug for 3000 km until it had no compression left as it would flood it out

I bought mine used and it always idled poorly ,, ran it for 4 winters pulling a track setter
until one sat morn i decided to look at the plugs .. Jammed packed with Almn.
Upon inspection , someone had probably used starting aid and blown out the Crank seal
, it was also melted on the mag side .. and the oil seal at the injection end wasnt even in the tunnel.
I had been clearing trails the second winter and heard what i thought was snow/ice going in the air duct..
The fan was still turning and we carried on.
The piston skirts were packed in the ports, all rings were pinched and the wrist pin 3/16" into the liner..
...
This beast went like scoot compared to my 433's. and just didnt idle....
.
I do no not wish this for you, BUT it was a great story on how tough these beasts are...
.
When i received mine ,, it had around 10 patch jobs in the muffler as if something came loose
or nested in it and the made the holes to remove a blockage...
Suggest pull pipe off at manifold and see if it draws clear with a shop vacc
.. poor blow out .. poor draw in
Merry Christmas
Ron
