Red head 600 bender pipes jetting and clutch specs ?

So to make a long story short, my 2000 mountain max 600 141 has the factory Yokohama track that's going bad. They don't make a replacement for these and I do not want to swap drivers to go to a 3 pitch. So I will have to extend the skid to 151 for a new track, BUT that now robs power being that it's only a 600 and not the 700 and we all know these motors didn't make tons of power from to begin with. FINALLY however I have found a used set of bender triple pipes on marketplace and I think I'm going to drive the 2 hours to go get them. I'm pretty sure (not positive) that these pipes will fit both the 600 and 700?? I've read that these pipes will add an additional 18 HP on a 600. this along with a head gasket mod, I'm figuring it will spin a 151 with no problem. My only issue is I have no idea where to start with jetting or what to do with the clutch. I can find tons of info about the 700 where guys do 45 pilots and 150 mains with a simple clutch kit. I cannot find any old forum Info on what to do for the 600. If someone with some more knowledge or who had one setup back in the day could chime in I would really appreciate it.
 
The Bender pipes for the 600 and 700 are the same and work very well on the red Head triples.
Always confirm mixture by reading plugs and piston wash!
Ensure you run 91 or better octane.

Main:
140 in all 3

Needles:
Stock

Pilots:
Stock

Fuel screws:
2

Clutching:
Stock

Of course all this depends on the Altitude you are operating at .
The Target RPM is 8500 to max 8800 and the extra power created with the pipes should put you in the RPM ballpark

Stock clutching for triple pipes? I realize that the power will make it rev high and that it will want to rev higher with the pipes, I'm just shocked to see stock clutching recommended in this application. I figured the manners would have changed enough to warrant more significant compensation.

Short of spending a lot of money on new adjustable weights, springs, helixs ect...starting with the stock clutching as a baseline is the best place to start and see how it performs so you know what, if anything, needs adjusting. Altitude of operation is a big factor in setting this sled up.
Bender triple pipes on the Red Heads have a very broad power band, barely run over stock RPM, are quite forgiving in setup.

Generally speaking then, if the Benders want to be close to that stock 8300 RPM peak, shouldn't the additional power still make the sled overrev? I'm about to do SLP pipes and want to try my existing clutching first just to see what happens, though I did grab everything SLP called for in their baseline setup.

Once you try the pipes with stock clutching you will no where it needs adjusting and also know if the recommended clutching is accurate.
 
So I plopped the SLP pipes on today, rejetted, went for a rip, and the sled seems to be in the ballpark. Hopefully this is decent news for the OP that the pipes won't make the sled unusable in terms of clutching.
