I've got 4 of these and one in particular that the linkage is so sloppy that it is dangerous to ride. I've dealt with these on other models in the past and the bolts running through various pivots including the bolt through the ski, if they haven't been lubed regularly set up and are almost impossible to remove. Even when and if you are successful. The parts are usually worn and corroded and useless. I am wondering if anyone out there has had any success in renovating these things. It would seem that they need to be bored out some sort of bushings inserted to tighten things up. I am open to any and all suggestions. Those original parts even if they were available were pretty expensive.

About a decade ago i purchase a kit (Maxx brand) sold through Royal Distributing here in Canada. It had every bushing for the TSS linkages.Made a huge difference in my oldmans ET410II.

There used to be a site that when you highlighted the part number , it showed
all the models and years that used same part so you could easily find a donor sled.
.
I installed the orig Yam bushings and pins in my VK a number of years back
and recall sawing between the joints on a few so I could get them up in a vise
to drive the remains of the bolts out. Used tight fitting washers to shim sides
of the arm parts to stop any wiggle , used shanked bolts so that no threads
were inside pivot points and cut off extra threads .
Worked pretty good BUT the steering link connection to RH ski leg
is loose in the taper and still darts . Possibly if yours is just in the toggle
parts , you could try carbide on RH side and a reg wear rod on LH to
reduce the darting ?

phazer, exciter, venture, et410 and vk540 II/III are all the same.

in the past on the old leaf spring sleds, i have drilled the spindle and the saddle to the next closest size to get rid of the slop.
