had mouse infestation airbox and under handle bar cover. cleaned carbs checked reed valves and intake boots verified Tors switches good compression wont rev out 4-4500 max no braaaap

any ideas on what it could be i will take pipe off next to verify no blockage
yes. that pipe could be packed with mouse bedding.
after you are sure pipe/muffler is clear, i would check for sticking/stiff clutch and check that the fuel pump holds vac as diaprhams can split with age.
