hey! im in need of a new secondary clutch for my 01 srx... wondering wich years and model sleds would work, all proaction interchangeable? vipers ,vmax etc .... will an nytro or apex fit? thanks
1997 through 2005 two strokes. Apex and Vectors will fit. FX Nytro won't.

picked up a used secondary from a 06 apex... got a rebuild kit for it, 2 bushings and 3 new buttons... anything special needed to replace these parts? any tips or tricks?
A press or vice for the bushings. If all the teflon is still on the bushings, I wouldn't change them.
Also, if you're using aftermarket buttons, keep an eye on them as they don't last like the oem.
I was taught to use red loctite between the bushing and the sheave or helix. I also have a specific tool made for Yamaha that fits the bushing for the press in. No almost fitting sockets that burr the new parts or destroy them. Some folks have better luck. Also, the last few bushings I have pressed in have fit very tight on the shaft. Both oem and aftermarket bushings have done this. I just slowly emery cloth the inside of the bushings till it slides smoothly
