anybody have any luck or results adding timing to a srx? thinkin about doing to my 01... iv herd run viper cdi or a 3 degree offset key... cant really find any more on the subject other than that

When I ran these on grass, I would slot the pickup coil so the head of the bolt was right up against the coil. That would have been close to four degrees. It may have benefitted from even more. I never ran it advanced on the trail, but if I did, I'd probably stick to about 2 and make sure you always run very good premium.

that was my next question, sled will be used primarily for grass ... allready jetted down ...kinda wondering being a little lean plus adding timing might not be good... that being said i still would want to use it occasionally in winter on trails...... so mabe just add 2?

I used to run the offset keys for drag racing only. Hauck used to sell them. Been awhile but it seems it was as simple as the keyway for the mag was machined. Noticeable power gain but I never used them on the trail, race only.
