Is there any differences in the spiders between the ones used on a SRX vs one from a 4 stroke? I picked up an Apex primary to swap my internals into for my '01 SRX and I noticed some rust pitting on the shafts,not terrible but enough that it'll likely chew the bushing up if left.I'm going to try and polish it all out,but if it still isn't good enough to suit me, I have a couple of spare spiders for the SRX clutch that I can swap one in,provided they'll fit.But before I go to all the trouble to split the clutch apart,I'd like to know if they're compatible first.
i don't know for sure. other than the windows in the spider for the 4 stroke weights (they do need them) i think they are the same.
Ah yeah. Now that I see the Apex clutch in front of me, it's easy to see the windows, and the 2 smoke ones don't have that.If the windows need to be there for a 4 stroke, then I'd say you could use a 4 stroke one in a 2 but not the other way round.
