Skidoo used to employ these on some of their sleds. I have had several SX700's and nearly everyone one of them, cold start is like dragging an anchor across concrete for the first half a dozen pulls. After that first attempt, the sleds always seemed to start 1-2 pulls, and they pulled much easier. I had a 98 SRX700 that was always easier to pull over when cold and wondered if it may have had a larger diameter pulley? Most recently I've just resorted to squirting starting fluid into the airbox. They also act like there isn't enough fuel in the float bowls, initally after the inital start it is usually 1-2 pulls and they light. Any thoughts?

I added a primer and a fuel shut off valve to my 600 red head triple for the same reason. Installed primer nipples in the reed spacers. Works great. Fires right up.
