So I got my 2004 yamaha viper s that I've had for 18 years with 12000 miles on it all on original internal motor parts the stator let go this past weekend and I'm glad it did because the crankcase oil seal was inches way from failing so because my Baby has been so good to me it's my turn to return the favor so I have already pulled the motor and done some cleaning but my question which I already know is going to have mixed thoughts but should I re ring my pistons or leave them alone I know I'm not supposed to hine the nicasil cylinders

If it were mine...since you already have it apart, I would run a ball hone through the cylinders a couple times and re-ring the pistons
