Hello there good people.

I recently purchased and overhauled a 1998 srx 600 that seems to have some sort of clutch kit on it. I’m a bit worried about the rivets in the primary weights, they look very sloppy pressed?

Primary: Red Maxximum Performance spring, 8DF-00 weights with some custom pressed rivets in them.
Secondary: Stoc green spring and a 47° helix from a 700 (8BV71).

I haven’t yet checked the gearing, but I would like to know if anyone knows if this was a common setup for any particular type of driving.

I’ll provide some pictures of the weights.

Thanks in advance people.

Rivets are fine, as long as they aren’t loose.
8DF weights are your factory weights.
45 degree helix is stock
No idea what your spring is from.

Alright, but the distribution/pattern of the rivets looks like it could be causing unequal wear? That´s what concerning to me.

As long as every weight has the same weight/rivet configuration, and the rivets are not touching the clutch anywhere through their full travel you are good to go. A cheap gram scale is always handy to ensure each weight/rivet configuration weighs the same.
