Wondering what changes were made to the Mountain Max 700 triple to accomodate a stock 1.5" lug track as compared to the VMax 700 with a 1". Did Yamaha move the bulkhead heat exchanger to the rear or were there other changes?
8t drivers on the mtn, 9t on the shorties

Thanks. That's makes sense and is what I initially assumed before artificial ignorance said they both had 9T. Should have know better.
Installed a 1.5 intense in my 700sx, no rubbing at all and sufficient clearance, but removed the front heat exchanger guards. What a difference the 1.5 lug!

I squeezed a 1.25" lug into my 98 700SX with no mods and no rubbing. Totally transforms the sled.
