My vmax kicks back when i pull on the recoil and i have changed cdi coil and pickup coil and still has the same problem but sometimes it starts but runs very rough and bogs i have also checked woodruff key

I had one that was hard to start, would kick back and ran real rough for a short time if it did start. Turned out to be a flooded crankcase. Lucky it did not hydraulic lock and bend a connecting rod or catch fire in my garage.
