Hauck 780 viper kit?

Who's got the 780 kit from hauck? Is 80cc going to make much difference? How reliable is the 780?

i think the simms 780 kit pumps out around 170 hp on premium

Just checked recently with CPR on their 780. They say about 163-165 hp.

I'm wondering how much gain I would get going from a ported 700 viper to the 780.

Port it and save some cash.............

You are better off to go with the porting, it will be very close to the same out put if done properly. The viper already has a lousy cooling system(head ,base,rear cooler tube), and a 780 puts more heat in the engine. A ported and triple piped viper will be a handfull when done correct. Typical aggressive porting on a viper with piston mods is around 10-12hp gain, add triple pipes and you have 160+hp

I've already got cylinder and case porting, hauck pipes, peak head, 38mm carbs. It rocks the way it is right now, but I'm always looking for more. I'm just wondering how much I'd gain over what I've got now.
