It must be that lightweight boss seat on ski viper that makes it run so good.I better order one for next time.
bushman ED from colorado called last night 12 foot base and 30 inches last week he also took a tumble down a mountan with his F7 but with all the snow not much broke. He's ready for us any time. He also rode with a demo ridder from yamaha with the APEX with a turbo on it,he said in 07 they sould come out the box with it. sweet!!

I would like to see Larry try the stock 8EK weights (that everyone says are junk) in his Viper. Thats all RedDog had in his Viper ER & I am sure everyone had their share of time looking @ his snowflap untill the 1/2 mile point. His setup is nothing more than a stock primary spring with 2 shims & changed to .8 rivets in tip, He was running my 51/39 helix with the Yami Green spring set @ 60 with stock gearing. Nothing trick to the setup but has worked great on the snow against many many sleds even with the stock 47 helix & red spring.
The Jimmer called last night & was saying you guys gave him a good line to run on the first run, He was able to run on a track while you all cut your own track through the snow..... You have to watch that guy or he will git Ya.
Larry put some 2.4 gram or 2.7 steels in your tips & give it a rip, I think you will be happy with how it runs.

Your #1 performance shop!
I believe Larry got the 8DN-20 weights, but I'm not 100% sure as I didn't take the order. Wish we woulda had enough snow to run the super tips in the piped viper this winter, but we only had 2 weeks of actual riding and now I've been working on another project!

Too friggin cool, How long before you fire it up? 2 Weeks of riding snow? That mother nature is a beotch
Spec is it possable to have a sled run with 300 pound rider as well as it does with a 200 pound rider? Flounder's MtnViper has been a kick in the bag with his slender 300 pounds on it (lol) but runs real strong w/my 200+ pounds on it & really strong with RedDogs 150 pounds (with a case of beer under each arm) lmao. The TEAM roller just does not react to changes like my roller or the stock button clutch. Helix angles or spring changes does very little on the tach.

Bushman, that 8EK set up sounds interesting. You only have .8 in the tip and I assume 4.5 in the heel?

Bushman let me know when your parts come in Ill help ya put the monster back together. you told me I needed rack style carbs when buying carbs for that price motor. do they have to be of a yamaha or will rack style flat side carbs off a ditch pickel or polar sh!t work? there is alot of carbs on snowest for sale even though carbs are the least of needs at this point.

Yup what ever was stock in the heel & change the tip....it works way better than it should from what I have read from other people. That will spin @ 9100-9200 rpm's & run good every day on the snow.
Now if he could only catch me when my junk is running

Are you sure you want that headache? Poo or Doo carbs from what I have seen.... But I dont know for sure. We can deal with that later because I think the weight loss will be great for you.

Bushman and Ski, I have been reading about your setups all winter and am curious if either of you have tried running 8bu-10 arms? I am a dealer for max. perf. and have an 02 viper with slp triples and some other goodies and tried running 8bf , 8dn-20, and heavy hitter weights and couldn't pull my rpm's down. I tried every spring combo and couldn't hold the belt or my rpm's with those arms even fully loading them.I finally have the thing flying now and am running 88 to 8900 rpm's all the time, in all snow conditions. I am currently running 8bu-10 weights with 4.5 grams in each hole, max perf blue primary spring, green yami secondary at 60 degree wrap and a 40-34 helix, stock gearing, 160 main jets, 1 3/4 turns on the fuel screws ,47.5 pilots, 3 position on the needles. It was zero and a hair below last week in northern Wisc. and the jetting was spot on. It has taken me nearly two years to dial this thing in as I live in southeast Iowa and we get little snow to test on. I really enjoy reading about your setups as it has helped me to dial mine in as well. I hope to someday hook up with you all and play. We try to make it to the U.P. a couple times a year. I am going to try loading the arms up with the 5 gram rivets and try a stiffer primary spring just to bring my engagement up a little if I can and still keep my rpms in the 88 range. Bushman, sorry to hear about your monster. Hope you get it back together soon. Happy tunning TJE
