I am having trouble with excessive oil consumption.This machine has always been hard on oil I thought it was a tired oil pump so I recently replaced it with abrand new one. On one section of my last trip it used one litre of oil for sixteen litres of gas or 16 to 1 oil ratio along way from fifty to one
The cable is set so that the idle mark is less than the idle mark and full at full throttle.
any body else have this problem
I have talked to dealers mechanics and Yamaha Canada without sucess
Any help would be appreciated

I know that had bad oil pumps on those machine and the injector tips where not hardened ...maybe you have another bad pump.
