Hebi, Several reason. The SRX was designed from day one to be a triple triple, the viper was not. Its ignition timing, head design and cooling system all play a role in keeping the motor in one piece. Just thinking about all this stuff again brings a smile to my face knowing I'm 2-stroke free! well....I still got the weed wacker, leaf blower and lawn boy. Guess I know where the last of my race gas is going. LOL ===SRXSRULE===

I feel sorry for you about mowing your yard with the Lawn Boy. I used to mow my neibor's yard and he always offered to let me use his Lawn Boy to mow it. "No thanks" I always told him, I'll stick with my Honda!

the cdi in the viper makes it burn real hot with tripple pipes, making the srx better because its cdi was designed for it to have the 3 pipes. just that they took the cdi a litttle too far for 1 pipe with the viper. less room for tuning

Man, A year ago I sure didnt think I would be riding all 4-srtoke! I just love the gas-n-go simplicity. Going to the dealer today to snow check the Apex Mt. Fuel injection will be nice. ===SRXSRULE===

My SRX was long traveled and it road great, still slightly heavier in the front end then a piped viper in the rough stuff. BUT.....ask me how many times I blew up my piped Viper and how many times I blew up my SRX's. I'll give ya hint.....the viper was many, many times and the SRX (all 4 I owned) Is a number less then 1. Plus some of my SRX's had alot more done to them then my Viper did. It is just a bullet proof motor
I could not have said it better.....

vice108,
I just did the pioneer long travel. Big improvement. Well worth the money. I really don't have the transfer problem. I think because I'm pretty light(150). Also, What I did was buy a used set from pioneer which they reworked and then I just installed my rear shock spring. This way It didn't lay up (with shipping times etc.)my machine. Wasn't much more $ either(25+/-). I highly recommend it. Easy too. Re-inforce that w-arm while it's out.

I haven't had a chance. I've done a few changes. Clutching, suspension and track tension. So if there's a change I probably couldn't say which affected it. Before the changes 115(speedo) with maybe a bit more.

Don't worry Eric, i promise its in good hands. If you're ever on some of the rides in the UP the same time as me, i'll definately let you jump on it again for awhile, lol. Now you've got me wanting to head west though too, all i can see is snowy peaks
