Do secondary springs.....

Do secondary springs wear out? Went to one of the local dealers yesterday to buy one to replace the one on my wifes XTC. He said they don't wear out, the only time you replace them is when they crack or break. Is this true. I know I read on here that the primarys get weak after a couple of seasons. Thanks, Soc

i am a spring guy by trade and they all get weak over time if they dont break 1st! that guy need to ride a sled with a couple of bad springs in the clutches for awhile . the difference is night and day in the performance. been there dun that!

most secondary springs will out last the machine...unlike a primary which is under tremendous force and continual use and pressure...

true, they do sag and lose rate over time, but not NEAR as fast as primary springs
