Enticer 300 skid problem

I have an 83 Enticer 300 with a suspension problem. Basically, when the susp goes up/down, shock just pivots, and white 'bumper' pad interferes with frame for downward stop. Something seems installed incorrect, as interference shouldnt be happening, and shock should be compressing.
 
Yes, the midpoint of the scissor is pointing to the back. I attached pics, they didnt come up. I can email if that helps.
 
wont help me. email is down hard. would it help you if i posted some 1978 et340 suspension pics? the 79et250 is hard to get to right now but it should be close enough to see whats wrong.

use photo shop or the microsoft eqivalent to resize them. mr sled has a pixel limit on the size of pictures you can post. resizing is a must for the higher quality pics.
