Snakebit, (my brother), invited me out to the Snowies and we had a great time. He even lined me up with a rental sled but it was a Yamaha, what a dork!
If these pics work, it will show me with my cool Poo coat on a MM and the 2nd is bro gettin air at the top of a hill.

It's awesome!

Here is one at top of shithouse hill, snakebit is on right, friends on left. ;)!

Don't let him kid you he LOVED that sweet sound of a triple!!!
all his Poo's are 2 cylinder's now.
anyone that loves to RIDE needs to go out west atleast once! just to say you done that, most everyone I talked just cant wait to go again!!!!

We would also like to thank Kuennnen's House of Power for the rental
Mark had it set up and it worked great

it was a BLAST!
set up needs some work had to lean her down, rode 2 days with this set-up
main 156.3 tempa flo set 1/3 turn lean
needle 3rd groove washer on top & bottom of clip
fuel screw 2 turns out
pilots 50
pri. clutch stk spring, stk weights no rivets ( all out)
sec. green spring 43' 90' twist ( frayed 2 belts?? to much heat )
did take off windage plates before trip
2 flo-rites, intake pre-filter and tape off under hood air intake
all vents including forced air vents have screens
custom made exhaust deflector and exhaust outlet sealed!
would seem to bog after small jump on hills then would not regain RPM's
when it would pull 9000-9200 on hills it seemed like I had all kinds of power, but if it boged and then would pull @ 8000-8400 not so good when your trying to squeeze all you can get out of it. do I need a heavier pri. clutch spring????
or what am I missing?

Did you climb Widowmaker???? lol :WayCool:

Sounds like you may need more secondary twist or rate. You may be sucking the belt into the secondary. Do you have any black marks on the clutches where the belt was slipping.

the day we were at the widow maker you could not see the top because of clouds!
I did climb almost to the rock off to the right side & turned around before the rocks, no body else in our group even touch the hill. Might not of looked as bad if you could see the top?? but I never climb very high last year either.

HAS ANYBODY ON HERE CLIMBED THE WIDOW MAKER????? WHAT ABOUT IT RULES?

when I talked to one of the BIG mountain shops he said 90' was to much??
needed to get it back @70. cant tell you right now on the marks but I will look in the morning

looked at the clutches and they look like both clutches have a little black smudges @ half way on the sheeves, not really a black mark from slipping??? not very dark! what do you guys think?? I always thought I should run as heavy a weight as possiable?
but with the pipes it seems like I really lighten them up? was running HC and 47 helix around Iowa but not that happy with it either

I would say you are right on the line with your side pressure. In the right situation it is sucking the belt in. I would go with the next stiffer secondary spring with a little less twist, or add a little twist to the one you have in there. However, I would get more input from some of the other guys too . . .

I wanted to turn the green spring a little tighter?
I think it was Hart___ that told me I should only have @ 60-70' twist??
would a 44/40 be better or worse then the 43 i have in now?
what about a orange? primary spring??
