chaisecase bushings???

Ok here we go I just got this damn chaise case back together on my srx and when I put the gears on the bottom one seems to not fit on the drive shaft all the way? Is this right? There were 3 bushings when I started is it possible I put the wrong one on the backside of the chaise case on the drive shaft side?

go under the parts and accessory's section, parts catalogue, look up the sled (what year are we talking?) then the catagory you're looking for is "track drive 2"

sorry, the point of that is that you'll have a fiche diagram of how everything goes together, it's saved my butt on chaincase bushings before, the other thing to remember is that if you oil both gears and lay a flat edge across them, it should ideally cut thru the oil all the way across both gears (meaning they're flat and aligned, on the old sleds you had to shim them to get it proper, doesn't hurt on the newer sleds either)

yes it is normal for the bottom gear not to slide all the way on,i use locktight on the bolt and leave the gearlube out for a day.the inside bushings are the same but the top one the oil seal is a little o ring that is closer to one side than the other it goes closer to the bearing the bottom is centred so it does not matter.behind the gears the smaller coller goes on the bottom and larger on top.bottom gear has the flat side of it to the bolt,than check for true.add any shims on top if needed and they can be off a bit if you want a true chain.
 
yea the bottom gear doesn't go quite all the way onto the shaft, there is a couple mm's hangover
