the porting is a little hotter on the 2000-02 and the heads are tighter, meaning, the 98-99 have lower compression, and not quite as good of port timing.
cacsrx1,
How is the reliability of the 780? I assume this is the kit that uses the 72.9mm wisecos. Did Jeff drill the dimples in the pistons (oil retention dimples)? I'm planning on doing a kit that uses these same pistons.
I think he says stock jetting, ( Im a little fatter, I can lean it out with the Variflo). Im using HCs with alot of weight in the tip and heel, middle empty, 51-43 in the back with a green spring.Turns 8400 and creeps to 8500.

cacsrx1 are you sure you have Simons big bore. Some things don't add up. Simons kit runs 9300 rpm not 8400. Jetting is not stock either. And 15 miles to the gallon gas mileage is better than stock. Please share your jetting specs. --mac--
Your right I am thinking Viper. Sorry guys. I am having trouble with 15 miles to the gallon though. I have run over 4000 big bore miles with my Viper. Mostly Quebec touring 250 miles a day. I run a tour buddy 2 1/2 extra gallons and my mileage is nasty. No better than eight mpg. The smile on my face does last for quite a while!!
