Nice i was thinking about the same belly pan as you. Have you ever had any trouble with it like a spider crack when it is cold out a friend of mine as this problem but he does a lot of boondocking so he is probably just hit a rock or somthing.

No "spider" cracks at all on my pan, ride in low temps off trail no problems. But this style of pan does throw up lots of snow due to the flares on the bottom. I would probably suggest the Ultra II plate instead unless you can deal with snow in your face.

Well the snow might be cool as long as i can see could you when you ride deep and steep?

I don't ride real deep, but it is a pain in fresh powder. It throws it forward then right on top of you. I think I may cut the flares off mine.
